Justin Bieber was my first celebrity crush. Selena Gomez was my first girl celebrity crush. In a way jelena was a perfect couple to me because I loved them both. When the split happened however I always sided with Selena. Even when people would drag her name. I always knew Selena as an actor or a singer but never just Justin Bieber’s girlfriend. I’m glad Justin is married to Hailey because I care for him still and his happiness. However, I found myself checking up on Selena more because a part of me always knew that Justin wasn’t a role-model or the perfect boyfriend and he had plenty of issues. Problematic. In a way when they split it felt right like Selena got away and I did too. I’m still a jb fan but just not as obsessed as I used to be. Remember when believers would have to defend every offending thing he did or blindly forgive him. We were all taking care of him. Some of us still are. Like Selena and now like Hailey. Got to give it to him his funny, charming and seems so loving but we all don’t really know what’s best for him. It’s hard to say it since I was a fan since I was ten and now I’m 21. Obviously Selena had been rumored to be toxic as well but I for one choose to believe what ever she did was in retaliation to him. It could’ve been jealousy for the cheating or over protectiveness... for the cheating or manipulation idk for what but clearly they didn’t work out. Sometimes people have great chemistry like actors. We ship it but with no maintenance (them putting effort in) it will eventually sink.
